busy weekend
Oct. 20th, 2003 09:32 pmI worked Homecoming as a photographer Sat night. It was a neat way to experience my first homecoming, never really did the dance thing in HS, and this way I got to be there without the nerves of a date, and I got to wear my work boots and comfortable clothes. It was great fun.
Between dropping off equipment in the morning and showing up to help with set up I got to make a camio at renfair it was good to see friends there, although I didn't get to hardly see them as they were busy dancing by the time I found them. I indulged myself in a new hat, and a pouch that I may use as apurse, and just generally had fun.
Then we went to the dance. I talked myself horse posing couples, and really enjoyed the folks I worked with. It was neat to see an openly gay man in a supervisory position, and know that at least one person out there recognizes what my bumper stickers mean. He and I got into an interesting theological discussion on the way back to the office, and that was fun too.
Sunday spent visiting familly and returning equipment. It's pretty neat crashing with mom, although I bet by Wed. I'll be glad it's only 'til Thurs. (I already had to visit my kitten once *grin*)
